Adhesives that provide electrical conductivity properties Master Bond has developed electrically conductive adhesives with special rheological properties. These products conduct both electricity and heat. These flowable compounds can be manually applied or dispensed via automated systems and are commonly packaged in syringes or cans. They offer the following properties:

  • Low Volume resistivity
  • EMI/RFI shielding
  • Low shrinkage
  • Toughness/flexibility
  • Wide service temperature range
  • Ambient or heat curable
  • Thermal cycling resistance
  • Low outgassing

Specialty RoHS and REACH compliant Master Bond compositions are capable of being used as an alternative to tin-lead and other metal alloy solders. Some systems have been designed to eliminate the need for mixing and are engineered to cure in around 2-4 hours at about 60°C to 125°C. Two component epoxies are available in premixed and frozen syringes, which need to be stored at –40°C.

These conductive adhesives are capable of being utilized in:

  • PC cards
  • Radar
  • Satellite radios
  • GPS systems
  • Cellular devices
  • Military equipment
  • Dialysis machines
  • Wireless headsets
  • Flight instrumentation
  • CPAP machines
  • 5G test equipment
  • Telecom base stations
  • Oxygenators
